At Brown’s Behavioral Consulting, our mission is simple and deeply personal.
We exist to improve the behavioral support field by changing how complex behavior is understood, addressed, and supported. This work was built for the families who feel out of options, the professionals carrying impossible caseloads, and the individuals labeled “too complex” by systems that were never designed to help them heal.
Founded by Christian R. Brown and Taylor B. Brown, our mission grew directly from years spent on the front lines of care. We lived and worked alongside some of the highest-risk, most complex youth in the system. We watched traditional models fail again and again. We saw how often behavior was managed instead of understood, contained instead of resolved, and labeled instead of explored.
So we built something different.
Our work is centered on improving outcomes for high-risk and high-complexity cases by replacing reactive care with structured understanding. Through the Integrated Dialogic Behavioral System (IDBS), we help caregivers, agencies, and frontline professionals move beyond surface strategies and into real behavioral clarity. This means identifying root causes, building regulation and life skills, strengthening relationships, and creating intervention plans that actually work in real environments.
A core part of our mission is accessibility.
Behavioral knowledge should not be locked behind academic language or expensive certifications. We provide functional, practical, and impactful training that caregivers and professionals can immediately apply. Our programs are designed for real people in real situations, not idealized scenarios. Whether someone is a parent, support worker, clinician, or agency leader, they deserve tools that make behavior understandable and change achievable.
We are especially committed to supporting high-risk cases.
These are the youth who have experienced repeated placement breakdowns. The families who have tried everything. The professionals who feel defeated by cycles of crisis. We focus on the cases that fall through the cracks, because they deserve more than stabilization. They deserve transformation.
Beyond individual consulting and training, we also advocate for system reform.
Too many care models prioritize compliance over connection and crisis management over healing. We work to elevate standards of quality, ethics, and accountability across behavioral support systems. Our mission includes pushing for approaches that are relational, evidence-informed, results-driven, and rooted in dignity. Care should not be about control. It should be about understanding, growth, and sustainable change.
At its core, our mission is about restoring hope.
Hope for families who feel overwhelmed.
Hope for professionals who feel burned out.
Hope for individuals who have been misunderstood for far too long.
Behavior is never random. It reflects experience, environment, and unmet needs. When those factors are truly understood and addressed with structure and care, lives change.
That is why Brown’s Behavioral Consulting exists.
